GUIDE FOR THE PREPARATION OF ORIGINAL PAPERS

1. Only those texts will be accepted that are unpublished in the field of the paper, that are related to the subject of the congress, and that are considered to be of interest by the Editorial Committee.

2. Within the established periods, the author or authors must send an abstract of the paper of at least 500 words, clearly describing the aims, results and original contribution of the paper presented.

3. The papers accepted will be announced in a period of two weeks.

4. Subsequently, the author or authors must send the definitive text of the paper, respecting the established periods.

5. Times New Roman, body font size 12, inter-line spacing 1.5, without separation between paragraphs. The length of the original papers will be between 4,000 and 8,000 words.

6. The original papers can be presented in any of the following languages: Spanish, English, Portuguese or French.

7. The articles will consist of a title – in the original language and in English, the name of the author or authors, their email address and particulars (post and place of work). Also an abstract of up to 100 words, and up to five keywords. Both abstract and keywords will be presented in the original language and in English.

8. Epigraphs will be numbered, down to the third level, with Arabic numerals (1., 1.1., 1.2.1.,etc.) The introduction will be numbered with a 0.

9. The articles can include essential notes. These will be situated at the foot of the page for greater legibility.

10. Quotations, following the Harvard or parenthetical system (example: Verstraeten, 1996: 347), will be made within text. The letters (a, b, c…) can serve to distinguish different works by the same author published in the same year.

11. Bibliographical references employed in writing each article, which will be presented at the end of the article, will follow the UNE 50140 norms of quotation.

• Where there are as many as three authors, all will be mentioned, in alphabetical order; from then onwards the first will be mentioned, followed by the formula et al.

• For electronic documents the abovementioned guidelines will be followed and, instead of pages, the URL will be mentioned and the date of consultation.

12. Tables and illustrations must have short descriptive titles, be numbered correlatively and be presented in separate files (tiff, pict or eps) for their subsequent layout.
